A woman armed with a gun was hospitalized Saturday, May 10, after she was shot by Riverside County sheriff’s deputies outside a Wildomar home.
Shortly before midnight, deputies responded to a call for a woman “brandishing a firearm” at a residence on the 32000 block of Lakeview Terrace. The woman exited the residence, ignored commands from law enforcement, and pointed a firearm at deputies when at least one deputy shot her, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said.
The woman was hospitalized in critical condition. Additional information, including why the woman was armed with a gun, was not released.
