A Loma Linda woman was arrested after reportedly shooting at another driver on a Rialto freeway because of a lane change dispute, authorities said Tuesday.
Angeline Marie Gable, 24, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and shooting a firearm at an occupied vehicle, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Officers responded around 8:15 a.m. on Sunday, March 16, to the westbound 10 Freeway just east of Riverside Avenue, where they found several bullet holes in the victim’s vehicle.
The victim was driving a black 2024 Honda Civic, when a gray Nissan Rogue pulled up next to him after a lane change dispute. The driver, Gable, reportedly pulled out a handgun and shot several times at the victim’s car.
The Office of Criminal Investigations’ Emergency Notification and Tactical Alert Center in Sacramento found a Flock Safety camera that took a photo of the suspect. The camera system is used to help law enforcement investigate cases by detecting license plates, gunshots and other activity.
Using the camera system, Fontana police found the Nissan around 5:10 p.m., conducted a stop and detained two women. Highway Patrol officers took the women in for questioning.
Officials searched the Nissan and found a loaded firearm that matched witness statements, the Highway Patrol said.
