Three Inland girls basketball players earned top honors last week when the CIF Southern Section announced its awards for the 2024-25 season.
Ontario Christian sophomore point guard Kaleena Smith was chosen the Open Division Player of the Year for helping the Knights win the program’s first section title in 45 years. Smith averaged 23.2 points, 8.1 assists and 4.5 steals per game for the season. She averaged 17.3 points, 9.3 assists and 3.8 steals per game in the section playoffs. Smith made the decisive free throws in the finals to lift the Knights to a 65-63 victory over Etiwanda.

Rancho Christian senior guard Julia Wilson was selected the Division 1 Player of the Year after leading the program to its second section title over the past three seasons. Wilson, who has signed with Gonzaga, averaged 21.4 points, 6.2 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game for Rancho Christian this season. She averaged 26 points and 7.2 assists per game during the section playoffs.
Hillcrest junior forward Zoey Boulware was chosen the Division 5AA Player of the year for helping the Trojans claim the program’s first section title. Boulware led the squad in scoring, rebounds and blocked shots. She averaged 13.2 points per game during the section playoffs.
An additional 15 Inland players were selected to the first team in their respective playoff divisions.
Ontario Christian’s Aundre Cummings, Rancho Christian’s Marlon Wells and Hillcrest’s Chloe Wells were chosen divisional coaches of the year for guiding their teams to section championships.
