A man was arrested on suspicion of fatally shooting a Hemet man in Lake Elsinore on Monday night, April 7.
Deputies responded around 11 p.m. to the 100 block of North Poe Street, where they found Marcus Bryant, 37, lying inside a home with a gunshot wound, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department. He died from his injuries at the scene.
Investigators detained multiple people at the home and interviewed them at the Lake Elsinore sheriff’s station.
George Eddie Steven Thompson, 39, of Lake Elsinore was arrested on suspicion of murder and being a felon in possession of a firearm, the Sheriff’s Department said.
