The brackets for the CIF State soccer regional playoffs were released Sunday afternoon
Seven Inland teams — four girls and three boys — qualified by advancing to certain rounds of the CIF Southern Section playoffs.
Santiago was the Southern Section’s Open Division girls runner-up and received the No. 2 seed in the Division I regional bracket. The Sharks (21-3-2) host No. 7-seeded Mater Dei (14-6-4) in a first-round match Tuesday at 5 p.m. Mater Dei was the Southern Section’s Division 1 champion.
The Bonita boys team was a semifinalist in the Southern Section’s Division 1 playoffs and is seeded No. 7 for the Division II regional. The Bearcats (14-6) travel to No. 2-seeded San Pasqual of Escondido (18-4-3) for a first-round match Tuesday at 5 p.m. San Pasqual reached the semifinals of the San Diego Section’s Open Division playoffs.
The Jurupa Hills boys team was the Southern Section’s Division 2 runner-up and received the No. 2 seed for the Division III regional. The Spartans (17-7-4) host No. 7-seeded Anaheim (10-5-8) in a first-round match Tuesday at 5 p.m. Anaheim was the Southern Section’s Division 3 runner-up.
The Yucaipa boys team was the Southern Section’s Division 4 runner-up and is seeded No. 5 in the Division IV regional bracket. The Thunderbirds (15-8-4) head to No. 4-seeded Hollywood (12-9-1) for a first-round match Tuesday at 5 p.m. Hollywood was the LA City Section’s Division 2 champion.
The Heritage girls team was the Southern Section’s Division 5 runner-up and received the No. 6 seed for the Division IV regional. The Patriots (18-9-1) travel to No. 3-seeded Banning of Wilmington (24-6) for a first-round match Tuesday at 5 p.m. Banning was the City Section’s Division 1 champion.

The Vista del Lago girls team won the Southern Section’s Division 7 title and received the No. 5 seed in the Division V regional bracket. The Ravens (14-12-1) head to No. 4-seeded Sylmar (11-6-3) for a first-round match Tuesday at 5 p.m. Sylmar was the City Section’s Division 3 champion.
The Temecula Prep girls team won the Southern Section’s Division 8 championship and are seeded No. 7 for the Division V regional. The Patriots (14-8-2) travel to No. 2-seeded Thacher (13-1-5) for a first-round match Tuesday at 5 p.m. Thacher was the Southern Section’s Division 6 champion.
