Jacob Sauceda connected with Stanley Leslie on a 22-yard touchdown play in overtime, and Angel Magana added the decisive extra point as Miller outlasted La Sierra 28-27 in a season-opening high school football game Friday night.
It was the second touchdown pass of the game for Sauceda, who also rushed for 92 yards.
Leslie had 101 yards from scrimmage and also had a touchdown run for the Rebels.
Shawn Childs ran for 153 yards and two touchdowns for La Sierra. John Mathis caught nine passes for 140 yards and a touchdown for the Eagles.

Murrieta Mesa 33, Newport Harbor 27: Coleman Jones tossed touchdown passes, including a 32-yarder to Chris Flores with 28 seconds remaining to lift the Rams on Thursday. Caleb Rottnek returned an interception for a touchdown, and Daniel Page scored on a kickoff return for Murrieta Mesa, last season’s CIF Southern Section Division 6 champion.
Norte Vista 20, Silverado 15: Jyden Henderson connected with King Butler on a 57-yard touchdown pass in the final minute as the Braves rallied to win their opener Friday. Butler also had a pair of interceptions on defense. Dreadie Allain had two touchdown runs for Norte Vista.

Jae’Lynn Brown caught five passes for 113 yards for Vista del Lago. Michael Gaines Jr. had nine receptions for 106 yards for Riverside Poly.
Colton 61, Jurupa Valley 0: Koa Regalado completed 11 of 14 passes for 189 yards and three touchdowns for the Yellowjackets on Friday. Tyler Zesk ran for a touchdown and also returned a fumble for a touchdown for Colton.
Banning 62, Notre Dame 0: Jacob Anzaldua completed 17 of 27 passes for 302 yards and five touchdowns for the Broncos on Friday. Dequinn Lovings ran for two touchdowns and also caught a touchdown pass. Dezmin Holland had two touchdown catches for Banning.
Santiago 31, Yucaipa 14: Clayton Plewe completed 21 of 28 passes for 275 yards and two touchdowns, and added a scoring run as the Sharks won their season opener Friday. Ryan Wilson caught six passes for 106 yards and two touchdowns for Santiago. Joseph Juarez ran for a touchdown and also intercepted a pass for Yucaipa.
Fontana 25, San Bernardino 17: Ivan Del Villar passed for 139 yards and a touchdown as the Steelers won their season opener Thursday. Ryan Elizalde led the defense with 11 tackles and also recorded a safety. Adrian Southwood ran for 136 yards and touchdown to lead San Bernardino.
Lakeside 31, Pomona 14: Robert Arellano completed 16 of 21 passes for 267 yards and added 54 yards and two touchdowns on the ground as the Lancers gave former USC running back Austin Jones a victory in his coaching debut. Jaylen Long caught five passes for 110 yards for Lakeside.
Temescal Canyon 15, Paloma Valley 14: Thomas Hibinski scored on a 4-yard run with about 4 minutes remaining to lift the Titans on Friday.
Moreno Valley 14, Eisenhower 0: Syree Matthews tossed an 82-yard touchdown pass to Johnny Robinson, and Trevon Williams added a score on the ground as the Vikings won their opener on Thursday.
Los Osos 42, Narbonne 6: Isaiah Guerrero passed for 138 yards and two touchdowns as the Grizzlies won their season opener on Thursday. Jack Abbott caught three passes for 75 yards and two touchdowns.
Elsinore 60, Heritage 14: Kai Tamagpong ran for 197 yards and three touchdowns on 15 carries for the Tigers on Thursday. Brayden Stankus threw a pair of touchdown passes for Elsinore.
Carter 26, Kaiser 6: Andre Clark and Jaiden Mejia both returned an interception for a touchdown as the Lions won the season opener Friday.
