Construction began in October at the site off Vineyard Avenue and Riverside Drive in Ontario. The $151 million project is partially funded by $52 million in bond revenues and $1 million installments from the 2022 Measure Q sales tax increase.
The stadium is expected to open on April 2, 2026.
In a news release Thursday, Aug. 28, the city said it would reveal the naming rights partner for the stadium on Wednesday, Sept. 3.
The stadium will be the new home for the Los Angeles Dodgers’ Single-A affiliate, which is moving from Rancho Cucamonga. Plans to unveil the team name, mascot and merchandise are set to take place at a free community celebration at 5:30 p.m. Sept. 18 at Ontario Town Square, 224 N. Euclid Ave.
In a news release, the city said the baseball stadium will have several areas for attendees to visit and mingle. Among those areas are The Patio, a social space featuring El Patio Bar, The Airfield, which includes playgrounds, a splash pad, and a historic airplane, and The Flight Deck, an upscale area with club suites and bars.
Near the stadium, the city is building a 1,000-space parking structure that will support the sports venues as well as Stadium Village, which will include a 227-room hotel, stores, restaurants and public gathering spaces.
The Community Sports Complex is expected to open in October 2026. Once finished, it will include multiple baseball, soccer and flag football fields, as well as concessions stands, three playgrounds totaling more than 27,000 square feet, a family activity area and public art installations.
