With professional sets and elaborate costumes, Fontana students are ready to bring C.S. Lewis’ classic tale to life on the stage this weekend.
They’ll perform “The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe” in a series of weekend shows at the California Theatre of the Performing Arts in San Bernardino, starting Friday, April 11.
Fontana Unified School District Theatre Conservatory students will star in the production.

Hour after hour of practice will culminate with the four public performances. Student actors’ classmates got a preview of the play Tuesday, April 8, when students from seven Fontana campuses attended a showing.
The district’s Theatre Conservatory is part of its career technical education programs and gives students the chance to work with professionals in the field, get experience and explore performing arts careers, a district news release states. Its run in partnership with the Theatrical Arts International Foundation Inc.
The story is the first part of Lewis’ “The Chronicles of Narnia.”
Shows will be at the California Theatre, 562 W. 4th St., San Bernardino.

Sunday, April 13: 2 p.m.
