APPLE VALLEY, Calif. (VVNG.com) — The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) in California is holding several hiring events to fill season wildland firefighter and support positions.
Applicants are encouraged to attend the in-person events, but may apply online in advance.
During in-person events, hiring officials will answer questions, review resumes, conduct interviews and help potential candidates navigate the application process.
California Desert District Hiring Event is taking place on December 12 – 14, 2024, from 9am to 4pm at the Apple Valley Fire Center located at 18809 Central Road in Apple Valley.
During the first day of the event, the agency reported they had over 70 applicants already in process.
The BLM Fire and Aviation program employs personnel throughout the U.S. in field and office settings.
Positions may include:
- Fire crews
- Engine and helicopter crews
- Fuels Management
- Heavy Equipment Operation
- Community outreach and more!
