A woman was found dead in a dirt field after police believe she was struck in a hit-and-run crash early Sunday, Jan. 19, in Menifee. Officers responded to a welfare check just before 7 a.m. and found a woman laying in a dirt field near McCall Boulevard and Aspel Road, east of the 215 Freeway, according to the Menifee Police Department.
