Fontana police are investigating the fatal stabbing of a man during a robbery at the Metrolink station. Four people have been arrested.
The attack happened on Saturday, Jan. 18, at 16777 Orange Way. Police responding to a report of a man with a gun found two robbery victims, including one who was injured. That person was taken to Kaiser Permanente Hospital, where he died, Officer Daniel Romero, a Police Department spokesman, said in an email.
That victim’s name has not been announced.
The second victim described the suspect and his car to police. While officers were headed to the site, they detained two people who matched the description, Keith Hendrickson, 25, and Jose Gamez Lopez, 21. They were arrested on suspicion of robbery, Romero said.
The investigation led to a 2006 Hyundai Sonata near Citrus Avenue and Arrow Boulevard. The two people in the car, Micah Rodriguez, 18, and Joshua Rich, 30, were also arrested, and the car was seized for evidence. Rich was arrested on suspicion of robbery; Rodriguez could not be located in the jail log.
Homicide detectives are following up on leads. Police ask anyone with information on the case to call 909-350-7700.
