Fans returned to LoanMart Field to cheer on the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes and the Lake Elsinore Storm as the teams opened the 2025 Minor League Baseball season on Friday, April 4.
The Quakes opened their final season in Rancho Cucamonga as the Single-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers. Next year, new owner Diamond Baseball Holdings is moving the Dodgers affiliate to Ontario, where a new ballpark is under construction, and bringing the Single-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim to Rancho Cucamonga, where it will play as the Quakes.
Friday night, the Quakes defeated the Storm 16-9.

Minor league games continue through the summer with more than baseball to entertain the crowds — theme nights, giveaways and fireworks shows are planned.
The Inland Empire 66ers, the current Angels affiliate based in San Bernardino, started the season on the road in Visalia and return for their home opener Tuesday, April 8. Next year, the 66ers will be affiliated with the Seattle Mariners.
